Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year, Rodger and I have been out and about over the last couple of months, mainly at British Dressage High Profile Shows.
This started with my favourite show of the year at Aintree High Profile Show, we had two days of competition both at Medium level with three tests in total. The first day we finished 5th in both tests in really good company, and the second day we managed to up our results to pull in a 3rd place for the final test. I was absolutely over the moon with him, he did me so proud.
At the beginning of December we went to Arena UK High Profile Show, yet again Rodger didn't disappoint. On the first day we finished 3rd in the Medium 4, and on the second day we did Medium 5 where he did a lovely test to lead the class right up to the last competitor who only just knocked us into 2nd place, nevertheless I was super proud of my little golden boy.
We have also qualified for the Regional Championships, but we decided not to take Rodger, as I want to focus on moving up the levels with him to Advanced Medium and above. We are currently in training with his flying changes, they are still a work in progress at the moment, so he will be having more time training than competing for a short while until we are established with them. However, he has qualified for the British Riding Club music championships in April at Medium level.
"Sky", a horse that I am currently competing at Advanced Medium has also qualified for the same music championships so I'm looking forward to taking both horses out for that.
We are also getting ready for the start of the Premier League season in March where I'll be taking Sky for the FEI Junior classes.
Life is rather busy at the minute and the Great British weather isn't always on side, but at least it's slowly getting lighter at night, thankfully.
